On Monday, the first workshop I attended was A Digital Platform:Identifying and Analyzing Literary Elements of Realistic Fiction. This workshop was absolutely wonderful. The presenter was Kelly Crowley. She explained how she read a novel aloud to her fourth graders and modeled how to use various technology tools to demonstrate comprehension. Then she put the students in small groups. The small groups read copies of novels on their level. Kelly then guided them using the same technology tools they used as a whole class. The students later read novels individually and independently used the technology tools. Here are some of the resources that she used:
